OUR STORY

Designer siblings Zoe and Morgan continue the legacy of their father, Douglas Sibbald (the ‘Silver Fox’), a skilled jewellery designer who started out in Ibiza, before moving to England and then New Zealand. His workshop – Moonbird - was a place where Zoe, Ruth and Morgan watched the process of jewellery making from start to finish: sparkling materials, careful combinations, the delicate work of assembly and then the final piece, heavy and wondrous in their small hands. The Zoe and Morgan Om Necklace is inspired by a pendant Douglas designed 30 years ago.

Led by their father and their mother, Anna, they ventured from England to New Zealand by boat, via Jamaica, Panama and Tahiti, also spending time in Japan and always in pursuit of exotic gems and textiles. To this day, the search continues.

Zoe first worked in millenary, Morgan in music and Ruth in the modelling industry - but their shared history was alive and kicking. After travelling to India, Morgan returned with a pocket full of precious gemstones and showed his finds to Zoe. Intrigued by the different quality and colour combinations of these treasures, their collaboration began to take shape. In the blink of an eye, Zoe and Morgan had begun.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Officially launched in summer 2006 Zoe and Morgan were an instant hit.

A year later, the first Men’s line Gimme Danger débuted and expanded the brand’s fan base far and wide.

Spring of 2008 saw the release of the Fine Collection in response to the disposable nature of the fashion world. The Fine Collection features pieces to be treasured for a life time, pieces that will look even better with wear and tear and to be passed down the generations with stories to tell…

Fast forward to now. The website has launched, bridging the gap between team Zoe and Morgan and customers and friends a like. Their pieces have featured in Vogue, Elle, pop, InStyle and across the international press. They are the jewellery brand of choice for fashion editors and word of mouth has carried their designs into style leading hands – Garance Dore, Alexa Chung, Lilly Donaldson, Emma Watson and Kate Moss to name but a few. Their business approach is personal and they’ve received invites from all over the world from their buyers, many of whom are now good friends. Zoe and Morgan have swiftly become a favourite and best-kept secret.
