I have been waiting in eager anticipation for days now for it to snow, and as luck would have it, it has. When I woke up this morning the first thing I did was look out of the window…
and there is was, the magical white snow falling gently on the roof tops of the houses around me. Sadly it had not settled on the ground and my wish to go sliding down Primrose hill is yet to be fulfilled, but I’m hoping that the snow might build enough for this to happen at some stage.
Zoe and Teia sliding down primrose hill last winter.
Zoe and I.
Walking down the street with the snow falling around me I smiled and felt like a young child again. It’s a wonderful feeling when you realise that despite your age there is a part of you that will always be a child and get excited about the most simple of things… well at least that is the case for me!
I am also a huge fan of Christmas lights, it’s another simple joy of this time of year when it gets dark early and everything begins to twinkle.
On a final note the cold would not be the same without a good cup of Fortnum and Masons Rose Pouchong tea, especially if it was in this teapot!
Love Ruth X
